FINALLY. I’m not a make-up person. But every lady needs a good lipstick.
And I found one! I never thought I’d go for Plum, but after binge watching five seasons of Young & Hungry and seeing Aimee Carrero rock her lipstick, I had to try the same shade.
LARITZY Lip Stix in Plum came in an Ipsy order… one handpicked for me! It seemed so dark that I jokingly put it on for eccentricity purposes.
Well… I kind of liked it. Yeah, the idea of drawing any attention to my lips made me feel uncomfortable at first, but after wearing it for a few days straight I started to enjoy my new look.
Sometimes an important part of self-love is embracing your colors. Can I tell you all how much I have wished to have blonde or red hair and blue-green hazel eyes? Or to be multi-ethnic with dark skin and freckles, gray eyes and a beautiful pouf of hair?
I am an olive-skinned, debatably hazel-eyed woman with brown hair and eyebrows that will never look the same. I’m never going to look like Emma Stone or Kate Winslet or Blake Lively. I’ve got to embrace the Aimee Carreros, Jennifer Lopezes, and Eva Langorias of the world and embrace me too!
And if you know me well at all, you’ll know I love to make fun of society. So here is my “Oh, I just woke up like this” photo.
And… does anyone else pretend to walk on the ceiling?
Ladies, I’m not affiliated with LARITZY Cosmetics, but man. That color looked AMAZE. The lipstick was soft, light and didn’t stick to my water glass. As mentioned on their website, LARITZY is never tested on animals and is free from parabens, BHT, BHA and phthalates. <–they said it and I believe it
